  Ive stayed at many hampton inns before but have been consistently disappointed by this one. Rooms themselves fine. Staff is very dispassionate. I don't need them to be over the top, but a smile and a few words of "hi how are you?" or "Do you need anything?" should be standard. They do not seem to care about the guests at all. Most problematic though is the breakfast. Food is the absolute worst I've had at any hampton inns. There is always something missing too. Cups, coffee, or spoons might not be there when needed.

  1. The front clerk was supposed to deliver a package from a client I was seeing in town, but forgot to do so until some time after I checked in. The front desk clerk only happened to deliver it, because I was going out. This information turned out to be important for my meeting the next day.
  
  2. The business center internet was not working, so I couldn’t print off my boarding pass. I asked the same front desk clerk if I could print my boarding pass at the front desk, she proceeded to tell me that I had to ask the Holiday Inn across the street to use their business center.
  
  My advice: 1. Hire people that care about the hospitality business. 2. Teach your front desk clerks the value of hospitality, that is the business you’re in after all. The front desk clerks are your customer service representatives for this company, and when they behave this way it doesn’t encourage me and others to come back to your hotels.
